What data we collect
From users we collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Encrypted password
- Business name they search
- Business address they search
- Payment information (processed by Dodo Payments, we never store card numbers)
- Date and time of activity
- IP address (for security)
- Browser and device type
Why we collect it
- To create and manage your account
- To generate your market report
- To send OTP verification emails
- To send payment receipts
- To show your report history
- To provide customer support
- To prevent fraud and abuse
- To occasionally email you about your report or share important product updates (optional — you can opt out anytime)
How we use your data
- Generate your comprehensive report (approximately 50 pages)
- Send transactional emails (OTP, receipts, support replies)
- Occasionally send optional emails (a brief check-in on how your report is working, or an important update such as a new feature) — no more than once a month, and you can opt out anytime
- Improve our service
- Comply with legal requirements
We NEVER sell your data.
We NEVER share it for advertising.
Email communications
We send two kinds of email, and we keep them clearly separate.
Transactional emails (always sent while your account is active, and cannot be turned off):
- Login and verification codes (OTP)
- Password reset messages
- Payment receipts
- Replies when you contact support
Optional emails (you can opt out anytime):
- An occasional note asking how your report is working out
- Important product updates, such as a new feature
We send optional emails rarely — typically once or twice, and never more than once a month.
To opt out of optional emails, email [OPTIONAL_EMAIL_ADDRESS]. Opting out of optional emails does not stop transactional emails, which are needed to run your account.
Who we share data with
Third party services we use:
- Dodo Payments (payment processing)
- Google Places API (to find your business on Google)
- Anthropic Claude API (AI report generation)
- US Government APIs (Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, HUD — only your business address is sent)
- Railway.app (cloud hosting)
- Namecheap (email service)
We only share the minimum data required to provide our service.
How long we keep your data
- Account data: until you delete your account
- Reports: 1 year after generation
- Payment records: 7 years (legal requirement)
- Server logs: 90 days
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of your data
- Delete your account
- Delete your reports
- Update your information
- Opt out of optional emails — email [OPTIONAL_EMAIL_ADDRESS]

Cookies
We use only essential cookies:
- Login session cookie (JWT token) — expires in 7 days
- No tracking cookies
- No advertising cookies
- No third party cookies
Data security
- Passwords are bcrypt hashed
- All data transmitted via HTTPS
- Database hosted on Railway.app with SSL encryption
- Regular security monitoring
Children
GrowthIM is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
The current version is always posted on this page with the "Last updated" date at the top. Please review it periodically.
Continued use of GrowthIM after changes means you accept the updated policy.
